# How to Redeem an Amazon Gift Card on Amazon.com/redeem

> Redeem an Amazon gift card on the website: open Amazon.com/redeem, sign in, enter your claim code, and apply it to your balance. Easy steps.

Get Started Button

Go to **Amazon.com/redeem**, sign in, enter your gift card claim code, and select **Apply to your balance**. Your gift card money is added to your Amazon account instantly.

## Steps

**1. Open your browser**

Use Chrome, Safari, Edge, or any browser.

**2. Go to amazon.com/redeem**

Type the address yourself in the address bar.

**3. Sign in to your account**

Enter your email or phone number and password.

**4. Find your claim code**

Check the back of your card or your gift email. See [Find your claim code](https://amazonhelphub.mintlify.site/find-claim-code.md).

**5. Enter the claim code**

Type the code in the box. Check for typos.

**6. Select Apply to your balance**

The amount is added to your account.

**7. Confirm the new balance**

A message shows your updated gift card balance.

## Good to know

* Gift card balance is usually applied at checkout automatically.
* You can redeem more than one card. Repeat the steps for each code.
* A gift card works only on the Amazon store where it was issued (for example, Amazon.com cards work on Amazon.com).
