Open the Amazon Shopping app, go to Your Account, open Gift cards, choose Redeem, then enter or scan your claim code and apply it to your balance.

Open the Amazon Shopping app

Make sure the app is updated.

Tap the profile icon

It opens your account area.

Go to Your Account

Scroll to find the gift card section.

Open Gift cards

You will see your current balance.

Tap Redeem

The redeem screen opens.

Enter or scan the code

Type the claim code, or use the camera to scan it if the option is shown.

Apply to your balance

The money is added to your account.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you cannot find the option, open amazon.com/redeem in your phone browser and follow the website guide.

Tips for scanning

  • Use good light.
  • Hold the card flat.
  • Scratch the silver strip gently so the code is not damaged.
